Top 10 albums of 2014 | Through The Wire Music

top 10 albums of 2014

It’s that time of year when hundreds of other music magazines, websites and radio stations release a list of their favourite albums of the year. We’re not really a fan of lists but we’re also contributing to the BAMS (Blogs and music sites) award for 2014 so don’t hate us too much for adding to the noise. The BAMS Award is run by a team of Scottish  bloggers including Scottish Fiction, Netsounds Unsigned,  Jock Rock, Manic Pop Thrills and Peekno, who will announce the winner of the award in early 2015. Below is our contribution to the poll and our top 10 albums of the year complete with a track from each one and links to buy it or reviews to read if you want another opinion. It’s nothing too fancy but hopefully you’ll find something you like.

#10 PAWS – Youth Culture Forever (2nd June)

#9 The War On Drugs – Lost In The Dream (18th March)

#8 Mungo’s Hi Fi – Serious Time (6th May)
